Leaving the Carson Street intersection in Carson City, eastbound Nevada 513 is an east-west urban state route that follows Fifth Street from Carson Street (Nevada 529) east to Carson River Road, then turns southeast to the bridge over the Carson River. Nevada 513 is largely unsigned with a BEGIN shield at the east end, but no readily apparent signage at the west end. NDOT seems to have embraced traffic roundabouts rather than traffic signals at rural intersections such as this one between Fifth Street and Edmonds Drive (Fairview Drive). Another rural roundabout is found in Minden along Nevada 88 just south of the U.S. 395 intersection. Photo taken 07/19/09.
