Nevada 604/Las Vegas Boulevard South

This view looks south from the replica Eiffel Tower located at the Paris resort and casino. Las Vegas Boulevard continues straight along a south-southwest trajectory from the Las Vegas Strip toward McCarran International Airport and points south. In the city of North Las Vegas, southbound Nevada 604/Las Vegas Boulevard approaches the Strip 91 Motel, which gets its name from being on Las Vegas Boulevard and on the old alignment of U.S. 91 and U.S. 93. Photo taken 04/01/06.
Soon after the Strip 91 Motel, southbound Nevada 604 meets Nevada 147/Lake Mead Boulevard at this traffic signal. Photo taken 04/01/06.
Now in downtown Las Vegas, southbound Las Vegas Boulevard meets Fremont Street at this traffic signal. To the right is the popular Fremont Street Experience, which features several casinos, shops, hotels, restaurants, and sidewalk vendors. To the left is the beginning of Fremont Street, which travels southeast along former U.S. 93-95-466 toward Boulder City. At this intersection, U.S. 91-93 split and U.S. 91-466 continued south toward the Las Vegas Strip. This sign is posted along southbound Las Vegas Boulevard between the city limits and the northern reaches of the Las Vegas Strip. Southbound Las Vegas Boulevard approaches its intersection with Tropicana Avenue (Nevada 593). This traffic signal governs the flow of an incredible amount of traffic each day, as the intersection features ten to twelve lanes in each direction. The resorts at this intersection are: Tropicana (southeast corner), Excalibur (southwest corner), New York New York (northwest corner), and MGM Grand (northeast corner). This Nevada 604 south shield was posted south of the Las Vegas Strip as the state route parallels Interstate 15 on its historic U.S. 91-466 alignment.
