Nevada State Route 513 previously followed E 5th Street from Carson Street (former U.S. 395) along a 2.185 mile long course to Fairview Drive in east Carson City. A separate iteration of the state route was designated along Deer Run Road further east across a bridge over the Carson River.

The bridge section of SR 513 was removed from the state system by June 2010,1 while the remaining segment was decommissioned by the state system by 2011.

Fifth Street ascends to cross over Interstate 580 and U.S. 50-395. With no direct access to the Carson City Bypass, drivers must instead access the freeway via William Street or Fairview Drive. 07/19/09

5th Street was realigned to arc northward during construction of the Carson City Bypass. The former state route intersects Airport Road north and then enters a roundabout with Fairview Drive. 07/19/09
Fairview Drive loops around eastern reaches of Carson City, connecting with I-580 and U.S. 395 Business (South Carson Street) to the southwest and U.S. 50 at College Parkway to the north. 07/19/09
