Exit 16W also provides access to Route 3 eastbound for its connection to Route 495 east and the Lincoln Tunnel. Route 3 comprises a full freeway from U.S. 46 at Clifton to U.S. 1/9 at North Bergen township. The freeway serves the communities of Secaucus, Rutherford, and Allwood.
