SR 79 (Waukesha Street) heads 1.75 miles south from U.S. 90 in Downtown Bonifay to I-10 at Exit 112. SR 79 travels 17.67 miles in Holmes County north to Esto and Alabama State Route 167 at Geneva County. FDOT completed a PD&E Study to four lane the remainder of SR 79 north in 2019. 11/26/14
SR 79 constitutes one of three four lane routes to the Panama City Beach resort area from I-10. SR 79 angles southwest from Vernon to Ebro and Bay County. Four laning was complete along the route from SR 20 south to U.S. 98 by July 2011 and overall south of I-10 in Fall 2020. 11/26/14
SR 79 runs 60.69 miles from SR 30 (Front Beach Road) in Panama City Beach to Alabama State Route 167. The state road connects with Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) via SR 388. 05/27/10

SR 77 meets I-10 at a diamond interchange (Exit 120), 2.5 miles south of U.S. 90 (Jackson Avenue) in Downtown Chipley. SR 77 joins Chipley with SR 2 and Graceville, 14 miles to the north. Beyond there, SR 77 becomes Alabama State Route 109. 05/16/16
As of Fall 2020, all but six miles of SR 77 south to Panama City was expanded to four lanes. Work through 2025 widens the last section, from north of CR 279 (Moss Hill Road) to the Bay County line. 05/16/16
