Florida State Road 329 was an urban route following Main Street north from SR 331 (Williston Road) to NE 8th Avenue through Downtown Gainesville. The 2.40 mile section south of SR 20/24/26 (University Avenue) was relinquished to the city of Gainesville. The 0.49 mile portion of Main Street north from University Avenue to NW 8th Avenue remains state maintained as part of SR 20. North Main Street between SR 20 and SR 222 (NE 39th Avenue) is designated as County Road 329, though signs are sporadically posted.
