I-70/76 (Pennsylvania Turnpike) travel into southeastern Westmoreland County where they meet PA 31 (Chestnut Ridge Road) just west of PA 711 (Main Street) into the borough of Donegal. PA 711 leads northeast to U.S. 30 at Ligonier and southwest to U.S. 119 at Connellsville. PA 31 parallels I-70/76 east from Mount Pleasant to Somerset and U.S. 30 outside Bedford. 10/08/01
Eastbound I-70/76 pass through the Allegheny Tunnel northeast of Roxbury. This is one of four tunnels on the Pennsylvania Turnpike mainline. 10/08/01
