SR 232 (Bobby Jones Expressway) stems south from SR 104 to become a freeway beyond the signalized intersection with Old Trail Road and Village Plaza shopping center. Roadwork in 2007-09 added a folded diamond interchange with Scott Nixon Memorial Drive, a connector to Pleasant Home Road and area development. 12/31/12
Exit 1A for I-20 west to Belair, Thomson and Atlanta was expanded to two lanes as part of the 2007-09 roadwork upgrading the cloverleaf interchange with flyover ramps from I-20 west to I-520 east and I-520 west to I-20 west. 05/24/19

Operated by the City, Daniel Field (DNL) is a general aviation airport along Wrightsboro Road east at Highland Avenue. Augusta Regional Airport (Bush Field) [AGS] is the passenger airport for the metropolitan area, located ten miles further off I-520. 05/24/19
Wrightsboro Road travels eastward from Grovetown to Daniel Field (DNL) and U.S. 1 (15th Street) at the Georgia Health Sciences University campus. Exit 2 also serves Paine College and Augusta State University. 05/24/19

Continuing south, I-520 (Bobby Jones Expressway) next meets U.S. 78/278 (Gordon Highway) at Exit 3. Combining 28 miles to the west at Thomson, U.S. 78/278 run east through Dearing, Harlem, Fort Gordon and Augusta. 05/24/19

Originally a cloverleaf interchange connected I-520 and U.S. 78/278 (Gordon Highway). Construction in 2011-13 removed the loop ramps from I-520 to eliminate weaving traffic and Exits 3 A/B were consolidated as Exit 3. 05/24/19
SR 10 follows U.S. 78 southeastward from Athens to the South Carolina state line at the Savannah River. U.S. 78/278 part ways east of Downtown Augusta at Clearwater, South Carolina. 05/24/19
Expansion of Interstate 520 from four to six lanes was underway between late 2011 and early 2013 on the stretch between Exit 3 / Gordon Highway and Exit 5 / U.S. 1. 05/24/19

U.S. 1/SR 4 (Deans Bridge Road) continue east from Exit 5 to the site of Regency Mall and U.S. 78/278 (Gordon Highway). SR 4 extends northeast from there onto Milledgeville Road to Downtown Augusta. 05/24/19

The split diamond interchange at Exit 7 links I-520 with Windsor Spring Road and U.S. 25/SR 121 (Peach Orchard Road). 05/24/19
U.S. 25/SR 121 (Peach Orchard Road) travels 22 miles south from Interstate 520 to Waynesboro and 2.7 miles north to U.S. 78/278 (Gordon Highway) en route to Downtown Augusta. 05/24/19
Richmond Hill Road passes over I-520 ahead of Exit 7 to Windsor Spring Road. Windsor Spring Road angles southwest from Old Louisville Road to a retail area centered around the intersection with U.S. 25 (Peach Orchard Road). West from I-520, the road climbs onto nearby hills to Windsor Spring before leveling out en route to Hephzibah. 05/24/19

SR 56 constitutes a 140.41 mile long route from U.S. 280 at Reidsville west to Uvalda, where the highway turns northward to Swainsboro and U.S. 25/SR 121 (Peach Orchard Road) in Augusta. 05/24/19
Exit 9 departs I-520 east to Mike Padgett Highway. SR 56 serves industrial areas of south Augusta en route to Waynesboro. 05/24/19
Decommissioned by 2015, SR 56SP branched east from SR 56 (Mike Padgett Highway) on Tobacco Road to Augusta Regional Airport (AGS), and north along Doug Barnard Parkway to the folded diamond interchange at Exit 10. 05/24/19
I-520 ended at Exit 10 until July 31, 1998, when a five mile extension to SR 28 opened to traffic. Connecting Augusta Regional Airport (Bush Field) with Downtown Augusta, Doug Barnard Parkway (old SR 56SP) heads north to U.S. 25-78-278 (Gordon Highway) at Molly Pond Road. 05/24/19

SR 28 follows Sand Bar Ferry Road north from the Savannah River to the central business district of Augusta. Laney Walker Boulevard (formerly Gwinnett Street) splits northward from SR 28 nearby through a residential street grid ahead of Georgia Health Sciences University. 05/24/19
Exit 16 leaves Interstate 520 east for Laney Walker Boulevard and SR 28. Stretching nearly 238 miles between Deals Gap, NC and Beech Island, SC nearby, SR 28 is part of a multi state highway with NC 28 and S.C. 28. 05/24/19
Interstate 520 ended at SR 28 until June 22, 2004, when the first section of Palmetto Parkway opened to traffic. This 2.7 mile long segment includes the four lane bridge across the Savannah River. 05/24/19
