These reassurance markers for U.S. 50 east and U.S. 395 north were posted after their merge. They were removed during construction of a storm water basin for Interstate 580 by 2015. 09/09/05
Snyder Avenue angles southeast from U.S. 50 Business & 395 Business (South Carson Street) to the Northern Nevada Correctional Center. The western 1.10 miles of Snyder Avenue is SR 519. 06/28/14

Continuing north from Clearview Drive by Eagle Station shopping center, Carson Street intersects Koontz Lane. Koontz Lane travels east from Curry Street to pass over I-580 ahead of Edmonds Drive. 09/09/05
A frontage road runs along the east side of South Carson Street (SR 529) northward to Sonoma Street. Sonoma Street leads east into residential areas beyond the commercial strip. 06/28/14
Prior to the August 2017 opening of Interstate 580, U.S. 50 east & 395 north used Fairview Drive to continue east from South Carson Street to join the freeway north. 06/28/14
Colorado Street parallels Fairview Drive, 0.2 miles to the south, from South Carson Street east to the I-580 right of way. 06/28/14
A second guide sign directed motorists continuing along U.S. 50 east to Dayton and U.S. 395 north to Reno onto Fairview Drive east. Fairview Drive is a locally maintained arterial now. 06/28/14
The access road for the Nevada State Railroad Museum and Carson City Chamber of Commerce ties into U.S. 50 Business & 395 Business (Carson Street) at the intersection with Fairview Drive. A three and a half hour train excursion follows the Virginia & Truckee (V&T) Railroad from Carson City to Virginia City. The V&T Depot is located in eastern Carson City, off U.S. 50 (Lincoln Highway). 06/28/14
Reassurance markers for U.S. 50 east & 395 north were posted just ahead of Fairview Drive. These were replaced by September 2009, with the two routes temporarily rerouted east to the newly opened I-580 freeway. 09/05/05
U.S. 50 east & 395 north followed Fairview Drive 1.2 miles east to combine with the I-580 freeway north to William Street. 06/28/14

Stewart Street branches off Carson Street north to parallel U.S. 50 Business & 395 Business to the Carson City central business. Stewart Street was formerly SR 520, a 1.23 mile route north to William Street (old SR 530). 07/19/09

U.S. 50 Business east & 395 Business north at former SR 513 (5th Street). Unmarked from Carson Street, SR 513 comprised a 4.801 mile route between Division Street (former SR 512) and Carson River Road. SR 513 was eliminated from the state system on July 11, 2011, as part of a deal to transfer several urban state routes to Carson City in exchange for Carson City funding a smaller portion of the Carson City Freeway (I-580) than agreed to previously.1 09/09/05
The State Capitol Grounds line the east side of Carson Street from 5th to Musser Streets. Located here is the Nevada Legislature, the State Capitol and the state Supreme Court. The Downtown Carson Street Construction Improvement Project broke ground on March 7, 2016. The streetscaping project removed the landscaped median in preparation for reducing Carson Street to two lanes with a center turn lane.2 07/19/09
A U.S. 50 reassurance marker was posted along Carson Street north at Musser Street. It was replaced with a U.S. 395 Business shield by 2011. 07/19/09
Streetscape improvements along Carson Street previously included decorative fencing, hanging geraniums and antique street lighting. Carson Street underwent a road diet as part of the $8.1 million Downtown Carson Street Construction Improvement Project. Side walks were expanded and on-street parking was added as the roadway was reduced to three lanes in width.2 07/19/09
The Paul Laxalt State Building, distinctive due to its red color, lies on the east side of Carson Street ahead of Speer Street. 07/19/09
Cactus Jack's Casino occupies the southwest corner of Carson and Speer Streets. The following block holds the Nugget casino. 07/19/09
Robinson Street heads west from Carson Street seven blocks to the Nevada Governors Mansion. Wider sidewalks taking the place of the outside lanes here in 2016 include benches and bike racks.2 07/19/09
Carson Street intersects Washington Street to the northeast of the Nevada State Museum. 07/19/09
Prior to 2006, U.S. 50 east split with U.S. 395 north at William Street in Downtown Carson City. U.S. 395 Business was created along William Street east and North Carson Street after the Carson City Freeway opened to the northeast. 09/09/05
An overhead assembly previously referenced the Downtown turn of U.S. 50 from Carson street to William Street. All signs for U.S. 50 and 395 Business were removed from here by 2011. 07/19/09
U.S. 395 Business North
A confirming marker for U.S. 395 appeared on the block of Carson Street north between John and Rice Streets. It was replaced to show U.S. 395 Business after the first leg of the Carson City Freeway opened. By 2016, the assembly was removed altogether. 09/09/05, 07/19/09
Carson Street remains a five lane arterial northward from Downtown, meeting Long Street at the succeeding traffic light. 09/05/05
Hot Springs Road provides a cutoff to College Parkway (old SR 531) east to Carson City Airport (CXP) via Roop Street. 09/05/05
College Parkway (old SR 531) crosses U.S. 395 Business (Carson Street) east from Western Nevada College and west from Carson City Airport (CXP). SR 531 lined College Parkway east from Carson Street 1.950 miles to Airport Road (old SR 525). 09/05/05
Arrowhead Drive stems east from U.S. 395 Business (North Carson Street) and Medical Parkway to a dumbbell interchange with Interstate 580 & U.S. 395 nearby. 09/05/05
U.S. 395 Business (North Carson Street) merges onto I-580 & U.S. 395 at a wye interchange. 09/05/05
