Interstate 35W

Interstate 35W was approved by the Bureau of Public Roads on October 1, 1959. Traveling 85.28 miles, the west branch of IH 35 serves Fort Worth north from Hillsboro to Denton.

SH 174 (Wilshire Boulevard) ends at the directional interchange with Interstate 35W at the Tarrant County line. Traffic partitions ahead with drivers merging onto IH 35W (South Freeway) north to Fort Worth or joining the frontage road through to Alsbury Boulevard and Fort Worth Spinks Airport.
