Several sections of Sligh Avenue exist across Tampa and Hillsborough County, with the most traveled portion connecting the Egypt Lake-Leto community with the Oak Grove, Riverbend and Old Seminole Heights neighborhoods in Tampa. Sligh Avenue was formerly a part of State Road 598 from U.S. 92 (Dale Mabry Highway) to U.S. 41 (Nebraska Avenue) in the city of Tampa.

Sligh Avenue - West
Sligh Avenue travels a short distance west from U.S. 41 (Nebraska Avenue) to meet Interstate 275 at a diamond interchange. 05/26/16
Interstate 275 passes through Old Seminole Heights north to the Hillsborough River and Sulphur Springs and south to Seminole Heights and U.S. 92 (Hillsborough Avenue). 03/31/21
Sligh Avenue expands with a median surrounding the bridge supports of I-275 between the respective freeway entrance ramps. 03/31/21
