The first confirming marker for CR 884 (Veterans Memorial Parkway) east appears just beyond the intersection with SR 78 east, CR 78 west and CR 765 north. The initial stretch of CR 884 runs alongside the Charlotte Harbor Buffer Preserve. 10/21/22

Drivers pass the westbound toll plaza en route to the Midpoint Memorial Bridge. Tolls are not collected for travelers heading east along CR 884 into Fort Myers and beyond. 11/22/12
The expressway portion of Veterans Memorial Parkway straddles between SE 24th Street, a river fed canal, and Everest Parkway. Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve lies to the north with access gained by way of SE 24th Street. The preserve is the last significant salt water wetland in the area. Motorists also pass near the Iwo Jima Memorial, an exact relica of the famed from World War II statue. 11/22/12
Spanning the Caloosahatchee River mid way between the U.S. 41 (Cleveland Avenue) and Cape Coral Parkway bridges, the Midpoint Memorial Bridge shuttles traffic from central Cape Coral into central Fort Myers. Originally planned in the 1970s and met with stern opposition through the 1980s and 90s, the four lane span finally opened to traffic October 19, 1997. 11/22/12

Advancing across Fort Myers, CR 884 (Colonial Boulevard) becomes a six lane commercial arterial approaching CR 869 (Summerlin Road) south. 11/30/19
CR 869 follows Summerlin Road south through Fort Myers and unincorporated Lee County toward Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island. CR 869 maintains six overall lanes on its course southwest to area beaches. Sommerset Drive travels north a short distance from the intersection to serve nearby Fort Myers Memorial Gardens and the McGregor Reverse subdivision. 11/30/19
A final confirming marker for CR 884 stands beyond the intersection with Summerlin Road. The county road transitions into State Road 884 ahead at an interchange with U.S. 41 (Cleveland Avenue). 11/29/19
An auxiliary lane joins the eastbound mainline on the approach to De Leon Street. CR 884 (Colonial Boulevard) spans Cleveland Avenue in one quarter mile. 11/29/19

Two lanes depart for the single point urban interchange (SPUI) between CR 884 and U.S. 41 (Cleveland Avenue). SR 884 begins at the SPUI and continues along Colonial Boulevard just over five miles to Interstate 75. CR 884 resumes to the east of I-75 toward Lehigh Acres. 04/04/15

SR 884 (Colonial Boulevard) east meets Soloman Boulevard at a signalized intersection east of its beginning at U.S. 41 (Cleveland Avenue). Soloman Boulevard stems north along the east side of Edison Mall to Broadway. 11/22/12
Colonial Boulevard next crosses paths with Fowler Street en route to I-75. 11/22/12
Fowler Street is an arterial winding south around Page Field to U.S. 41 (Cleveland Avenue) and Boy Scout Road west. North from SR 884, Fowler Street leads to SR 739 at Metro Parkway. 11/22/12

CR 865 (Six Mile Cypress Parkway) leads south from State Road 884 (Colonial Boulevard) as a four lane commercial and residential lined arterial en route to South Fort Myers and U.S. 41 (Cleveland Avenue). The county road continues beyond Six Mile Cypress Parkway along Gladiolus Drive toward Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island. Six Mile Cypress doubles as Ben C. Crossing the Six Mile Cypress preserve, CR 884 east (Colonial Boulevard) next approaches CR 885 (Treeline Avenue). Treeline Avenue extends south to reach the Pelican Preserve and Colonial Country Club subdivisions en route to Daniels Parkway (CR 876). 11/28/13
CR 885 (Treeline Avenue) runs parallel with Interstate 75 to Terminal Access Road where Ben Hill Griffin Parkway continues south to Alico Road (CR 840) and Corkscrew Road (CR 850). 11/29/19
CR 885 constitutes a winding suburban arterial, paralleling I-75 south with connections to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) and Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). 11/29/19
Colonial Boulevard (CR 884) continues east from Treeline Avenue (CR 885) one mile to State Road 82. 11/29/19
CR 884 (Colonial Boulevard) curves northeast with six lanes into the signalized intersection with SR 82. 11/29/19
State Road 82 runs from northwest to southeast through Lee County connecting Lee County Road 884 (Colonial Boulevard) with Downtown Fort Myers and Immokalee via SR 29. 11/29/19
A second set of directional shields line the approach to SR 82 as several high voltage transmission lines span the intersection en route toward southeast Florida. 11/29/19
SR 82 travels northwest from CR 884 (Colonial Boulevard) and deviates between a four and six lane arterial toward Dunbar and into central Fort Myers. The state road ends underneath U.S. 41 (Cleveland Avenue) at the Five Points intersection. Continuing southeast, SR 82 beelines toward SR 29 in Collier County as it skirts Lehigh Acres to the south. 11/28/13
