Business Loop I-8 East
Traveling south (west) on Business Loop I-8 (4th Avenue) after the Giss Parkway intersection, the main route through Yuma is generally four to six lanes wide and features a center turn lane. This reassurance shield is posted in front of the 4th Avenue Jr. High School. 03/17/07
The next reassurance shield for Business Loop I-8 is at the intersection of 4th Avenue and 7th Street. This is also one of the old alignments of U.S. 80 through Yuma. 03/17/07
To Interstate 8 east, use Business Loop I-8 east to either U.S. 95 (16th Street) north or SR 280 north. 03/17/07

Now approaching U.S. 95, these signs advise that to connect to Interstate 8, use U.S. 95 (16th Street) north. Business Loop I-8 continues straight ahead (south) on 4th Avenue. 03/17/07
This overhead sign is found on eastbound Business Loop I-8 (4th Avenue) as the business route approaches U.S. 95 (16th Street). Use U.S. 95 south to San Luis and Mexico. 03/17/07
U.S. 95 north actually travels due east to connect with Interstate 8, then turns north toward the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground, Imperial Dam, and Quartzsite (which is the junction with Interstate 10). 03/17/07
A small sign with the control cities of U.S. 95 north (Quartzsite) and south (San Luis) is posted on the mast arm of the traffic signal where eastbound Business Loop I-8 (4th Avenue) meets U.S. 95 (16th Street). 03/17/07
Continuing south, Business Loop I-8 plies through seemingly endless strip malls and restaurants. The traffic signal for 22nd Street can be seen in the distance. 03/17/07
This reassurance shield for eastbound Business Loop I-8 is also posted on 4th Avenue, now approaching 28th Street. Four blocks after 28th Street, Business Loop I-8 will shift from 4th Avenue and turn east on 32nd Street. 03/17/07
Southbound 4th Avenue transitions directly onto eastbound 32nd Street in order to alleviate any motorist confusion as Business Loop I-8 finally travels east again. 03/17/07
Business Loop I-8 is a six lane roadway through this area, with a red brick median to separate the two directions of traffic. A large shopping mall is located nearby. 03/17/07
The Yuma International Airport comes into view on the south side of Business Loop I-8 (32nd Street). An Interstate 8 trailblazer is posted as well. 03/17/07
Turn right at Pacific Avenue (next traffic signal) to enter the airport; continue straight ahead to continue east on Business Loop I-8 and connect to SR 280. 03/17/07

The next left connects the business route to the Yuma County Fairgrounds, which are situated on the north side of the highway. The county fair is held every April. 03/17/07
Continuing east, the next traffic signal connects 32nd Street with SR 280, Avenue 2E. Turn right to the Marine Corps Air Station; turn left to follow SR 280 north to Interstate 8 and U.S. 95. 03/17/07

Shortly thereafter, westbound Giss Parkway ends when it meets Business Loop I-8 (Fourth Avenue) in Yuma. Business Loop I-8 follows Fourth Avenue north-south through the central part of Yuma. 11/10/00
