A dynamic message sign spans Interstate 69 ahead of the first of nine interchanges for the Fort Wayne area. 01/13/12
I-69 next approaches the Fort Wayne bypass, Interstate 469 north to New Haven. Exit 296 is a directional cloverleaf interchange with Lafayette Center Road west and U.S. 33 south as well. 07/31/09
I-469 and I-69 double as the routes for U.S. 24, 30 and 33 as they bypass the city of Fort Wayne. U.S. 24 follows I-69 north from Exit 302 to I-469 east to Exit 21. U.S. 33 overlaps with I-69 north to Exit 309 and I-469 east to Exit 11. U.S. 30 encircles the city along northern reaches of both freeways. 07/31/09
Fully opened in 1995, I-469 runs 30.83 miles east and south of Fort Wayne. Despite its course constituting a bypass, I-69 is 12 miles shorter then its branch loop. I-469 mainly serves highways feeding into the Fort Wayne area such as U.S. 27/33 from Decatur, U.S. 30 from Lima, Ohio, and U.S. 24 east to Defiance, Ohio. 07/31/09

An Upper Huntington Road was also used at one point to the north; portions of this road were absorbed into Jefferson Boulevard. 11/06/11
Exit 299 departs I-69/U.S. 33 north for Lower Huntington Road. Airport Expressway leads east from nearby toward Fort Wayne International Airport (FEW) and the intersection of Paulding Road and Fairfield Avenue in south Fort Wayne. The expressway, originally named Baer Field Thruway, was also a portion of SR 1 east of Bluffton Road. 11/06/11
Interstate 69 and U.S. 33 advance from Exit 299 across open farm land to Fox Islands Park. 11/06/11
U.S. 24 combines with I-69/U.S. 33 north in one mile at a six-ramp parclo interchange (Exit 302) in southwest Fort Wayne. 11/06/11
Jefferson Boulevard comprises a multi-lane arterial leading northeast toward Downtown Fort Wayne as the original alignment of U.S. 24, SR 37, and SR 14 (east of Illinois Road). Southwesterly, U.S. 24 runs along an expressway to Roanoke, Huntington and Wabash. 11/06/11
