U.S. 74 Bypass east follows the tolled Monroe Expressway along an 18.68 mile course to the north of Lake Park, Monroe and Wingate. The limited access facility was built to alleviate congestion along U.S. 74 through Monroe. U.S. 74 Bypass officially opened to traffic in its entirety on November 27, 2018.1 11/20/21
U.S. 74 (Independence Boulevard) shifts onto a c/d roadway beside Left Exit 255 for U.S. 74 Bypass (Monroe Expressway). The toll road serves as a through route to points further east along U.S. 74, returning to the highway ahead of Marshville.
U.S. 74 continues southeast along a commercial arterial into the town of Indian Trail. 11/20/21
A J-turn links U.S. 74 east with westbound U.S. 74 for the tolled U.S. 74 Bypass around Monroe. 11/20/21
U.S. 74 continues east from the Monroe Expressway (U.S. 74 Bypass) into Marshville ahead of Cuddy Drive. 11/20/20
U.S. 74 follows Marshville Boulevard east too the Marshville business district. 11/20/21
