Washington State Route 525 spurs 8.75 miles north from the end of Interstate 405 at I-5 between Lynwood and Martha Lake to the Mukilteo WSDOT Ferry Terminal for Whidbey Island.
The southern 3.24 miles of SR 525 constitutes a freeway linking I-5/405 with SR 99 (Evergreen Way) between the census designated places of Picnic Point-North Lynnwood and Paine Field-Lake Stickney. The succeeding section follows Mukilteo Speedway, a four lane arterial to Paine Field Boulevard. SR 525 continues north into the city of Mukilteo to the city center and 1st Street to the ferry landing.
