N.C. 150 forms a multi state route with S.C. 150, extending 183 miles northeast from the state line through Shelby, Lincolnton, Mooresville, Salisbury, and Winston-Salem. The state route concludes at U.S. 158 near Yanceyville.

NC Highway 150 East
NC 150 (River Highway) eastbound at the diamond interchange with Interstate 77. Shopping centers and business complexes surround the exchange, resulting in traffic congestion along the arterial. 12/30/08

A modified cloverleaf interchange joins U.S. 21 (Charlotte Highway) with NC 150 (West Plaza Drive). U.S. 21 provides an alternate route to I-77 by way of Williamson Road. NC 150 turns northeast to Salisbury, remaining suburban toward the Rowan County line. 12/30/08
